This project is an interior refit of an office space into a clinic in the bustling neighborhood of Roppongi right in front of Roppongi Hills complex. To abstract from the noise of the busy streets the use of natural material was privileged so the patients could feel immediately at ease upon entering the clinic.

To take advantage of the views and give an airy feeling to the interior all the rooms that didn’t need to be enclosed were combined into one big L-shaped space; the only floating elements in this space are the reception counter, the audiometric booth, and the children’s play area. Those elements and the main wall are highlighted by a 20x30mm timber louvers cladding that also accentuates the flow. The ceiling angled geometry and the window side counter further connects the two ends of this L space together. The round constructions from Roppongi Hills complex in the background act as borrowed landscape harmoniously completing the clinic curvilinear design.
